the american market specified having 'side' lights on the side...hence the new l405 front/rear lights bending around the sides.. ... - .- -.

Mick, yours should have (09MY>) LED rear lights already... If yours are NAS spec you won't see any wiring for the side markers as they are LED's too and in the 09my> the LED's and wiring is all hidden... Craig |

Cheers Craig , further investigation now is needed as I have always liked the side markers lit up on the NAS ones |

Problem is with yours Mick, you can only do the rears as you cannot purchase RHD NAS headlamps |

The front headlights 06-09 do have the fitting for the side markers already there. the sidelight bulb holder fits it so if you managed to source a couple of these then you would just have to wire them in. was thinking of putting led's in the existing sidelights of mine to match the xenon headlights and the normal bulbs in the side markers so as not to bring up any faults or overload anything. any wiring would be inside the headlight unit then. If he's always backing into posts, I'd check the parking sensors and the rear view camera before worrying about NAS vs Euro lighting differences. |
