2017 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Carpathian Grey

Hi All

I joined a few days ago, only just found the time away from fixing some of the bits on my recently acquired 05 L322 Jag V8 (06 Model), with the help of some threads here but at least the suspension warning is gone, I hope! . So no doubt I will be asking some technical questions in the near future.

Thanks

David

England 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE Td6 Java Black

Just tried to update the information on my profile with the details of the ff I have just ordered, but there is not the correct engine and colours in the drop downs.

Not crucially important I know, but I would hate to mislead anyone.

Hi All,

New to this forum, have been surfing the forum last couple of days and found some good information and good humor among the members...

Since a couple of weeks I own a FFRR from 08-2005, model 2006 with the TD6 engine, Giverney Green with Aspen / Ivory interior. It has currently 150.000 KM or about 93.000 Miles, about spotless interior and exterior especially for an almost 8 year old FFRR, maintenance and upgrade (recall) records present and according to schedules and always by LR. So far so good, but scheduling some preventive maintenance to keep it rolling for years to come and reduce the risk for any (big) issues/problems.

So far as an extra bought the mupflaps, rubbermats for the cabin and cargo area, cargo nets for the sides in the back and the retractable cargo/dog guard net to keep our border collie in place.

Have driven several type of cars before, for example a Chevy heavy duty 6.6 TDI crewcab pick-up truck, Nissan Patrol(s), BMW 3 coupe, 5 serie and a 7 serie, Landcruiser 100, Discovery 2 V8, etc. All fine cars with their own pos and neg aspects but must say so far I think the FFRR has a lot if not all the pos from previous cars. Great ride and hate it everytime I get home again and have to get out of the car... Due to my height always had problems of finding a car which is comfy on those long rides but the FFRR is definitely meeting that criteria.

Now just preparing a crash course for the misses to explain all the buttons and functions, what to do when and what not, etc. She already took the FFRR to a muddy dirt road last Saturday when she took the dog to herding sheaps and she could not hide the smile on her face when she came home... Initially she didn't say what she did but the mud on the car said it all!!! Seen that before when she did the same with our BMW 7 series a couple of years ago which was covered in mud up to the roof... Her logic, if it has wheels it should be able to and otherwise it should not have become a car... My response was: O MY GOD... Big Cry

Looking forward to more reads on the forum and provide my insides as and when I can. Mike.

Fortunately the ratio of men to women is greater than FFRR's to men in the Netherlands. So at least you now know which one is easier to replace? Wink

If that's what it comes down to then decisions need to be made... Afterall live comes with tough decisions!!! Thumbs Up

I'm in favor of changing SWMBO into SWMBP on these occasions, imagine not so long ago she took our Mini Cooper on the same dirt road... Big Cry Censored Big Cry Censored Mike.

That's a nice area to spend some time in August... Should normally be good weather but of course no guarantees weatherwise in the Netherlands Smile

Thx for the welcome and hope you will enjoy your trip!! Mike.
