anyway , at least we both agree that the s/c indeed has a firmer suspension than a tdv8 as per OP's question..... ... - .- -.

Not sure it's as simple as that. Struts/springs, dampers and anti-roll bars are identical on diesel and petrol cars before the 2006 facelift. Supercharged 2006 cars have different bits, but all 2007-on AJ petrol cars appear to have the same suspension (pre-Adaptive Dynamics). The TDV8 has different front struts, presumably because the TDV8 engine is quite a lot heavier - I imagine the weight of the engine is the biggest factor affecting handling rather than spring and damper rates. Should be easy to establish exactly what's what from a parts catalogue. |

The 2007 AJV8 Petrol has the same suspension as TDV8 but I think the Supercharged continued to be be tweaked to be a little stiffer. |

Check the part numbers - diesel is different, NA and Supercharged the same. |

Trommel, to be clear are you saying that in your opinion the 2005-2006 Supercharged had stiffer suspension (they did) but the post 2007 internal facelift Supercharged cars do not? |

The 2007 NA petrol has the same suspension as the 2007 Supercharged (same part numbers, whereas, for example, 2006 Supercharged rear shocks are a different part number to the Td6 and 4.4). All the 2007 cars got the thicker anti-roll bars, but the TDV8 has different front struts from the petrol cars. I haven't found any reference to Supercharged-specific suspension parts for the 2007-on cars. |

if it was the case that both the 2007 s/c and 2007 tdv8 had the same components , i would have thought the ecu controlling the setup would be different to give the s/c a more 'sportier' drive.. ... - .- -.

So, in theory, is it possible to install S/C rear shocks and the thicker ARB on a Td6 or 4.4 model to assist with the early-model roll characteristics? Si. <This is my name.

The suspension ECU basically just tries to maintain a specific height, it can't actively alter roll stiffness or anything like that. |
