Nutty Nick if you're as nutty as your name suggests then that shouldn't be a problem. I drove from London to North Wales and back to buy a car once and was rewarded with my purchase. To put it simply, if the car was in London it probably would have been sold by now... |

OK been out with the camera, good bit and bad bits shown. Private plate is not included. Tyres passed MOT but I would say rears may be needed sometime as the tread is ok in the middle but not on the outside edge.

Seat piping can be fixed by hand with a DIY kit for about £20 with good results. Corrosion under wing mirror is oxidisation not rust. Had it on mine and fixed it very cheaply and easily. Little dent could be fixed easy as well.

Mines got a little rust on rear inner arches but when I saw small they're just wee spots. However you wouldn't expect it on a 10 year old luxury off reader... |

I did actually. I went to see a cl500 2002 a couple of weeks ago and not so much rust but alloy reaction corrosion everywhere. Must be cheap metals they used or bad painting or both. I know those cars of the era had "soft" paint. Certainly my dad clk has stone chips that you wouldn't think should be there for a car of that age. |

I phoned the UK owner, got more pics, phoned Eclipse recovery services, payed through my bank and got the car delivered 3 days later. Wasn't even disappointed. And all that from my comfortable chair at home in France.

I can't bring myself to part with it after just 6 weeks. It hit its £7500 reserve on ebay with a week to go and 22 watchers but I just had to pull it. Its too good a car to sell so soon. I hate messing people around and if it had sold to someone on here I would have let it go but I am now looking forward to a few more months of FF ownership |
