Unscrew it from the floor and turn it upside down. |

The bottom seems bonded to the top, maybe I'm just being a tool, I've just done the discs and pads all round and the front 2 airbags so I have a modicum of knowledge. |

lol transpires I was being a tool, the foam insulation overflow made it look like someone had stuck them together!

Thanks, I've actually installed a new piston into the compressor to see if that helps before diving into a whole new unit, height change etc seems quicker.

That fitted? be interested to know how you have got on since. I ended up replacing my compressor rather than refurb. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

It did, it's installed and working but I haven't driven it long enough to know whether I'll get the error back (less than 10 miles).

The error will come back soon, because only to change the piston ring is not enough, because the cylinderhead becomes bigger and bigger inside, the new ring will help for some month, it is like new brake pads on very old brake discs..., also you need to change the dryer patrone, or to dry it from inside like the one genial guy with his wiki-story!! Had buyd also this new piston ring, is good quality, but not strong enough for the old cylinderhead.

Have read this with interest,as i have noticed my compressor struggles sometimes, my Hawkeye tells me it is not producing enough air, so have just ordered the piston ring and hope it will sort me out .

Well I've done another 30 or so miles and no fault yet, and like I say it raises and lowers a lot quicker.
