I am aware that, if I want to disconnect my MK3 Navigation system then I have to wait until the red light goes out. But can anyone tell me what actual damage is caused to the unit if I was to disconnect the battery BEFORE the red light goes out? |

The reason for asking is I have been offered a faulty MK4 Nav system and the owner had disconnected the battery and removed the Nav before the red light went out. He says it powers up but the disc won't load.

Was a bit daunting initially, but it turned out to be fairly straightforward. I've already changed the laser but just need to replace the circuit board. ![]() Greg Go ahead punk, make my day........ Previous vehicles:- Far too many to list (in excess of 45!) |
