Vogue Opinions

Hi all,

Apologies for my first post being a request for advice. I'm looking at buying a Full Fat Vogue soon. Wondered if anyone knew of, or had opinions on either of the following.

I'd vote for the second one, just because of the colour combo. I've never been a fan of the grey interior, but that's just me. The biggest issue would be the condition of the two cars. The second has had cosmetic work, but how are they when it comes to the serious mechanicals? A test drive of each would also be in order. Enjoy and don't jump at the first one you see.

Whats your budget? Few posts recently here suggesting that the 54 plate early touch screen models are the ones to go for ?

You may well get the facelift bug Whistle Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

Budget is £11k ish, any idea why the touch screen is the preferred model? We're there mechanical changes at the same point?

Thanks for the help so far guys.

When its touchscreen the 4.4 tends to be the jag unit which is meant to be the better engine and a tiny armgin increase on MPG i believe on paper anyway!

They look better at the front end IMO and the infotainment is a good step up being touchscreen.

Interior may well be facelifted as well and im sure some have been along recently in your budget as well. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Thanks for the replies guys, going to look at the silver one of the two (see original post) today. It seems to have a better history so will update later.

At least on North American cars, 2003-2004 was BMW engine + non-touch screen, 2005 was BMW + touch screen, 2006 was Jag engine + touch screen.

The non touch screen has very primitive GUI by today's standards and the GPS maps come on a set of CDs that have to be swapped from region to region. The touch screen model is MUCH better.

The early one is BMW plug and play, so many upgrade it with later BMW kit. Also, only the non-touch model has a cassette player -no longer an issue for most...Whistle

Good luck with your searching. Thumbs Up

Quick update, I bought one of the two in the original list, A 2003 4.4 Vogue.

It was such a well looked after example I couldn't resist, collect the car next weekend and I'll introduce myself and car properly in the Welcome section.

Thanks for the advice so far guys.
