Hi Mikey, Welcome to the forum, im not sure about the downshifts, i assume it works ok in D and is the kickdown working as it should? With regards to the above problem, i would check the simple things first, when was the fuel filter last changed? Also does it do it if you accelerate slowly to around 75mph then over? Does it feel like fuel starvation? Do you get any warning lights? If you are looking at doing the work yourself and keeping her for a while i would seriously look into getting a IDD tool (do a quick search on here for all the info on that). I have one and its invaluable for diagnosis. Unfortunately without further diagnosis the power loss cound be anything from a partialy blocked fuel filter to an overboost issue to a maf issue. |

It may be worth dumping the gearbox fluid and replacing, if nothing more than to see the colour and smell (plus its allways a good idea to replace the oil with nice fresh stuff).

The kickdown and recovery issue sounds like the symptoms that my TD6 had prior to the fuel pump stopping - so worth getting the fuel pressure tested!

Thanks for that VV. was it the under car pump or the in tank pump that was replaced on our TD6?

Adrian - I am pretty sure that it was the under the car pump - I just checked the invoice and it says pre-pompe (it was done in Switzerland) and my notes at the time say "low pressure fuel pump".
