TPMS - any way to check if its activated?

As above, I believe my MY2007 Vogue SE has TPMS

Is there any way I can check if my vehicle has TPMS and if its working? (i.e. not been disabled)

I'd rather not have to resort to deflating a tyre!

Look at your tyre valves. If they are standard rubber ones you donn;t have it, although I would bet you do on a VSE like mine.

Who cares if its not working? If you don't have the dash light blinking at you and "TMPS malfunction" type message, be thankful! Thumbs Up Discovery 4 HSE

Take the spare wheel out .... I'm pretty sure that will do it ..... Removing a road wheel will definatly do it, mine alarmed when I was changing rear wheel discs.

Spare wheel removal should send an alarm. I remember that in mine, but the alarm is probably only once (I had a flat recently) and the alarm didn't come up again. Other option is deflating the spare of course Wink MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

In fact, if you've never had an error message it may well be disabled. I wish I'd just disabled it rather than trying to keep it working. The most expensive useless feature there is.

Ah, now I remember reading about TPMS and the metal valves - I have those!

I will let some air out of the spare (got a compressor in the boot so not a problem) and see what happens...

In the meantime, I'd like to think its all workings fine and thats why I've never had any silly bongs! 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Mine works very well and saved me from destroying a tire the other day. No false alarms and issues sofar although the batteries are getting to their life end around 8 year and that is pretty damn close Sad MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Be very gentle with them, particularly if they look corroded.
I went to top mine up, and whole valve came off with hose, instant deflation ... Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

Same happened to me. I was told to use plastic valve caps as metal ones cause the corrosion on the stems. 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE Java Black
