Now I'm nearly ready to do this (hopefully this weekend) but have hit a snag already.

BMW part 61-12-6-912-541 or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GPS-1m-Antenna-E...1c2bcbef5c or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Radio-antenna-Ex...45f4f5a019 or www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fakra-A-Jack-to-Fakra-B...4603df29e6 Any of these will do, dont worry about the length, the BT antenna is good to 7-10m around the antenna, so you can have it in the boot. |

THIS is the genuine cable, although the ebay advert is from the U.S and not much help, but at least you can see what it looks like and maybe have a look around the BMW's in some local scrapyards to see if you can find one? |

Arghh. Can't try the pairing yet as the button is in the boot (with my new loom) and the procedure is to hold the button for a few seconds, then while holding it, switch on the ignition and continue to hold for a couple of seconds.... My Mrs won't help me as it's still raining... Ash

Make sure that the mic is in the correct way round mate, the arrow needs to point to the windscreen (I think).
If its not that then try swapping the pins in the mic plug, could be RR are the opposite of BMW!! |

You could try the mic loom plugged direct into the mic too, see what that does. |

OK Have tried mic straight into bluetooth unit without the extra mic loom and also tried switching the pins on the lead and no change. Person in the car can hear very well but person being called hears nothing except very close up to the mic.
