Many thanks for the reply's, the nav unit is a MK3 and the red power light on the cd drive stays on after the driver door has been shut. The car enters sleep mode (gear selector light off) but the nav drive power light stays on, hope this clarifies things. |

are you noting the sat nav light being on by looking through tailgate glass with the parcel shelf folded forward and the cover removed when the car is asleep as this is the only way to see if it shuts down , because as soon as you open a door or unlock etc the sat nav will power up |

Yes KLF400 thats exactly how im checking it ive even made sure the drivers door is the last i shut. |

You could just remove Fuse 49 and leave the car for a while.
