As fate would have it, I've ended up buying a Lacie Cloudbox from a mate who hasn't used it on a project. Its still in its box and has a 3TB disk in it. Paid £80.

Am very happy as the cheapest I can find it on the net was £130.

I did see a Netgear NAS on the bay for about £166, but when I add the costs of 1 or 2 disks for it, I thought it'd be a bit overkill for what I need it for.

I also read somewhere about the Netgear ones being a bit iffy supporting MPEG4, but that may have changed now.

If the one I got busts or such like, I think I'll get either a Netgear or Synology unit. They seem to do well in the reviews I've read.
