Kenya 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

Hi there,

I stumbled onto this website while researching my next purchase. Can't tell you what a relief it is to find a place where although FFRR problems come up, people offer solutions and help (at only the cost of some light humor and friendly ridicule)...

I was extremely worried about buying a RR to take back to Africa and almost went with Toyota but think I'm convinced otherwise!!

Hoping to get either a 2010 FFRR or new Discovery 4 and I am sure I will be turning to this community for lots of help!

England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Tonga Green

Hi all.

Known of the site for a while, but didn't really start to look on here until I was researching for the current car. This TDv8 is my second FFRR, I had a 2004 V8 petrol (4.4) for 4 1/2 years and changed it this month (Jan '13) just because it was getting a bit old and high mileage, not because of any major problems.

I've owned a number of RR over the years. Never an early carb car or early diesels, the TDv8 is my first diesel RR.

Currently:
2007 ('57) Vogue SE TDV8 1972 Gaz 66 2001 TVR Chimaera 500 (and a camper van!)

Previous RR:
2004 Vogue V8 4.4 petrol
1998 Vogue HSE Auto 4.6 (LPG) - most unreliable car I've ever owned!!
1994 Vogue LSE Auto 4.2 soft dash (LPG) - Still my favourite!
1990 Vogue SE Auto 3.9
1986 Vogue efi manual 3.5

Plus one LR County 110TD and a lot of other bits 'n' pieces Very Happy

Andy

United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover HSE Td6 Adriatic Blue

Hi all

I am new here- a keen member of LandyZone, and thought it was time to bite the bullet and join this forum as well. I have a 2002 FFRR td6 HSE with 95k miles, bought it back in the summer and absolutely love it! Also have a LR Defender 110 Camper with the 2.5 na diesel plus a classic VW Beetle convertible for the sunny times!
I look forward to being part of the fun!

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black

Hello everyone

Very pleased to have found this site, looks a great place to discuss everything!!

After an 18 month period without a FFRR, I'm delighted to say that I'm picking up a 10MY TDV8 3.6 on Friday. Can't wait. I had a lapse of concentration and went to an Audi for a few months.... didn't enjoy it!

Cars so far are:-

2002 P38 Vogue SE 4.6 Petrol (not the most reliable)
2003 TD6 SE
2006 TD6 Vogue SE
2010 Audi A6
2010 TDV8 3.6 Vogue

Hello Everyone

just joined, enjoying do a bit of research before i get my first FFRR.
Trying to find out what pitfuls and major costs i will find by buying a 05/06 Vogue SE with 100k plus mileage.
I am leaning towards V8 Petrol as I only do about 6k or 7k miles per year. Roger

Malaysia 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

hello everyone!

greetings from malaysia! Been hanging around here and few LR/RR forums for a while(3 months to be exact) to check out and be more knowledgeable of my recently purchased 2006 RR 4.2 Supercharged. This is my 1st land rover and suv ownership experience and hopefully it won't be the last I hope. Already planning to get probably an Evoque or the L405 few years down the road from now, to replace my current drive which is a hyundai(yeah I know, sad).

Of course, I have to confess it's no easy roads to convince myself and the family to purchase the FFRR. They all asked me why tempt fate and gamble, but for me this is a childhood dream comes true(hopefully wont turn into a bloody nightmare!). I have always admired the looks and versatility a RR offers. Luxury and go everywhere capability in 1 package. To me, nothing comes close to the luxuries of the RR interiors, it's well on par with bentleys and the other RR(roll royce) I'd say! I come from a long line of japanese cars, and although I won't expect the reliability and ease of maintenance to be of equal, at least it's not far apart if not better than the other brands such as bmw, volvo or mercedes.

A couple of suv considered before I signed the HP agreement, mazda cx-9, mercedes ML350, volvo xc90, toyota landcruiser, audi Q7 but none of those won my heart like the beautiful FFRR. Hopefully it's not too temperamental to maintain and I won't regret purchasing it. Anyway enough ramblings, looking forward to this new and exciting life experience.

Oh yeah, 1 more reason why I decided to go with LR is due to the very excellent and many online forums and support rendered by its member. The one I'm buying indeed have a few minor issues(front pax door window and mirror not working, reverse camera blank when going into reverse gear) but because of the many previous experiences reported on the forum of the issue, I was able to convince myself to just go ahead with it. Cheers! 2006 4.2 Supercharged Java Black - loving it every moment behind the wheel even at 14 mpg!
