Sounds like a continuity problem in the wiring from unit to head unit, does the display on the screen stay ok ?? One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

JohnnyD. I think you are on the right thought pattern there. I'm thinking the same, or possible low voltage to the DVD/SatNav unit. Not sure how to test it or fix it though Embarassed

The Display seems fine. FullFat Porridge

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

As Gary said, have a look at traces of (old) water ingress in the lefthand side rear. On mine the Bluetooth died because of that, for some people more damage results or other units die. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I rang Land Rover Customer Service (strangley enough they were all unavailable due to the snow in the UK - Guess they don't drive what they support...lol).

They directed me back to the Irish Distributor (which also owns the Stealership which couldn't diagnose the problem). Got chatting to their LR Tech manager. Has never come across this problem before, but sort of agrees that it may be dampness / water ingress somewhere in the car, but... where to start? Big Cry

I knew there was a reason I liked Citroen 2CVs ! FullFat Porridge
