I think most of us are in for a tump of the stuff tonight.

I have looked at the Met Office weather and there are a few of us on here that as right in the middle of the nasty RED bit.

I will post some pics up in the morning of the so called foot of snow they are predicting.

Can't bloody wait i'm like a big kid waiting for it to land.

I just spent half an hour driving my son to school - normally a 10-minute drive - only to receive a text as we arrived saying that the school was closed. FFS! We arrived dead on starting time. They could've said sooner!

On the upside - I finally got to try the RR in snow. To get to our house, you have to come down an ungritted road, back up the other side and then up our steep drive. In my old Volvo with winter tyres, I could get to our drive but not up it when we had half as much snow as this. Without winter tyres, I had to abandon the car a mile away!

RR - on new road tyres - was fun. Came down the road in high ratio, only to find we had no grip on the corner. But the ABS stopped us short of taking out a Prius (boo), so I put it in low ratio and trundled down the hill, back up the other side and then up onto our drive with no problems.

Add to that the heated steering wheel, which keeps my fingers nice and toasty even on cold days, and I think it's fair to say I love this car. Very Happy

Lots of snow in Fareham, the FF was impeccable driving to work and back home! Why do people in BMW's transit vans and Mercs think they can drive on these roads?? They knew it would snow today! Needless to say the roads are blocked with multiple cars sat at the bottom of hills not able to drive up any gradient.

I passed a number of stranded cars, thinking "I really should tow them out" one person shouted out "oh good, glad you are here are you going to help tow all these cars up the hill" I did think about it and decided that I have to work and they should have been more responsible.

The FF is still the best vehicle in the world, all considered. Current MY2020

I think its a more a case of drivers not knowing how to use their cars. Where I am now I've seen a few cars on summer tyres manage just fine and the ones with winter tyres hammering it like crazy (YouTube vids will be done when I get home Smile )

I think the biggest problem with helping people out is that they want it for free and then should any damage occur, usually due to their ineptness, then you get the blame as the claim Sad

Apparently the northwest hasn't got that much yet but I'm hoping by the time I get back there is tonnes as if not maybe West Yorkshire as I'm off laning there on Sunday as well! Roll on the weekend Smile

Glad to hear everyone is doing ok though and no smashed Ffrr's yet Smile just be safe people and take your time Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

That looks nice Jason!

That's also the first time that your car has seen the white stuff! It was always wrapped up warm and cosy in the shed up here when the weather was bad!

It's amazing to think you guys are getting the weather like this... It's like a spring day up here! Cold but the sun is shining etc. I've just driven to Edinburgh and back again wearing sunglasses!
