Hi guys so i put the rover in to get the tracking reset and was told that there is some wear in some of the rear bushes so my question is does anybody know if I can get poly bushes to upgrade the original ones I'm looking to replace all front and rear?

My Experiance with poly bushes is they will wear the arms out

Poly bushes give a harsher ride and are slightly easier to fit, but since you have to to remove the old bushes first which is the hardest part you are best keeping to OE

Yea! That's really surprising? I mean I know there big old lumps but I've never seen that before ( used to use poly bushes in my show car days ) had a Clio lowered 300mm custom springs poly bushes the lot had everything seam welded because the suspension was solid  F**K IT you only live once

I fitted some to my old D3 and it was no more harsh than standard bushes. Not exactly cheap though.

It can be a contentious debate on Defender forums. I've always stuck with Genuine because they're the most hassle-free product. They do the job and do it very well.

On a FF, I would imagine its even more clearer cut. I've always found that one modification invariably requires another to make it work or look correctly.

I know many seasoned Defender experts who wouldn't use Polybushes but really rate Superpro for quality, feel and longevity. If, but only if, a change of bush material was required, that's what I'd most likely be fitting. Si. <This is my name.

Ive polybushed several including my rear wishbones and i think they are great and certainly no more uncomfortable than standard bushes in the FF or D3...

I agree, had them fitted to a Defender, basically "fitted for life", never replaced them in 10 years of ownership and some pretty heavy off roading.

The only thing i can say is the superpro bushes are much better.

The material doesn't really differ in quality but Its very important to use stainless inserts AND bolts (or use plenty of copper grease on the bolts) as polyurethane doesn't "flex" as much as rubber and relies on the inserts/sleeves to rotate a little.

So as soon as the inserts/sleeves start to corrode and seize the actual bush material will wear in no time. (i have seen in plenty on pollybush ones)

I personaly only really would bother if i couldnt get hold of decent original bushes. Like on many of my classics, where the repro ones have been utter ****.

Just my two pence worth.

Unless anyone knows different Superpro aren't available for the L322 though, only Polybush or OEM.
