for what it's worth I was told by someone on the forum that 36 front and 42 rear was the best pressure for my TDV8 on 19's.

There is only 1 way to find out the correct pressure for your tyres in your typical use and thats the chalk method... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Lower pressure on the front as the weight over the front axle doesn't change with load where as the rear has a full tank of fuel sometimes, full boot and pulling a large load which could exert upto 150kg weight extra.

I increased mine to the full load and gained 3 mpg

makes sense...more pressure will give you less rolling resistance and therefore slightly more mpg.. ... - .- -.
