England 2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

I suppose it goes both ways, I reckon a lot of people look at 2010>12 RR's and think its an old one done up Laughing Maybe the new thing will be 2010 > 2002 conversions as they will be the ones to have...................................30 years from now Mr. Green One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

If you really want to dare to be different how about the delux L322> P38 or L322> Classic conversions Question Whistle Got to admit I can just about put up with the gremlins in a 11 year old car, if Id paid all those £££££ for a 2011 and knew it was already playing up i would be fuming especially as I could have around 7 early ones and at least 1 or 2 would be OK at any one time!!!! How much better is the 2012 model to the 2002 ? I've never had the chance to compare the 2. I'd imagine obviously the sat nav and that sort of stuff would be much better but what else ?

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Other than cameras, better hi-fi, cooled seats etc, I believe there is better soundproofing, the windows are laminated (so even quieter), the engines and gearboxes are more modern........

I think thats about it "on the ground". Think the diffs are electronic also, and of course the terrain response.

So if you discount the electronic bits, you'll get better engines, gearbox and an electronic diff.......

They can't be that different as its essentially the early car upgraded a few times......

Sure those more knowledgeable will add more...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Are you serious? Drive a 2012 L322 and then drive a 2002 car, the difference is night and day (and a 2002 model is still a desirable car). 4.4 TDV8, ZF 8HP, adapative dampers etc. - quicker, quieter, sharper to drive, more refined and so on. If it hadn't improved over the last decade they wouldn't have sold many of them.

The only reason these facelifts are done is because the owners want to give the impression of driving a newer, more expensive car than they do - it is entirely superficial and a pretty low-rent approach. It's a bit like buying the wife a £2k Bulgarian facelift and then pretending you're married to a 20-year-old supermodel. Are people really so insecure that they secretly hope someone thinks it's an £80k car, and not an £8k car?

The best looking incarnation of the L322 was the original, as is usually the case when cars are facelifted.

Driven one, not that impressive, dont like oil burners either, its not worth 80K more than an early one and im afraid if I owned a 2010.12 I would now be pulling my hair out what with having a very expensive 'old shape ' car LOL never mind they will prob bring out a facelift kit to turn those into L405's Mr. Green Laughing One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Essentially the same car though, doors the same, shell the same etc etc, Ive driven a new one and it was nice but not like 70-80K nicer and the depreciation would break my heart. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Do you think a 520d is just as desirable as an M5? C180 as desirable as a C63?

Depreciation is a pointless argument, a 4.4 Vogue cost £60k new back in 2003. New cars lose money, fact of life.

Either say you don't want to pay for it or that you can't afford it, but pretending that the last L322 isn't a better car than the first is just silly.
