Ok looking at the camera I would say it’s not a true hi def camera I would say it’s a cmos, it has a low lux that helps it see in the dark but I would imagine the image to be grainy.
To sort this out you need to remove the camera and connect it to a pal device, your TV and see what type of picture you get.
then you need to check the system in the car,i think this may be the problem but let’s hope it’s not, get a camcorder that will give you a com out [yellow rca plug] you will have a red and white plugs that carries the sound..forget these you don’t need them... connect the yellow to your car in place of the reversing camera and see what you get, if it’s a colour then the camera is crap,if you get a b/w image then you need to look for a setting that has changed on the car as it may of been switch to ntsc, [not sure if it can be switch but it will need to be looked at or go for a ntsc camera[I have one I can send you to try. if even with the ntsc camera you get a b/w image then there is a fault with something in the car.

Is the image a reversed image so it shows correctly on your screen, so if someone stands behind you on the left it shows on the left on your screen? V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Just going back to what Contraband was saying about it being something other than the camera, have to you tried your old camera with the 753 test? Does that come up as colour too? If so, it could be something else causing the problem.

Also I wouldn't say that this camera is HD at only 628x586, given the lowest HD compliance I can find is 1024x768. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Hi joe the original camera went on the bung so can't check as it doesn't work but Im pretty sure that before it gave up the ghost on the 753 test there was no picture when I changed the settings? But when I do the test on the new camera it appears in colour F**K IT you only live once

So I've been in contact with the supplier of the camera he can't understand why the camera isn't working he says it should just switch automatically to PAL or NTSC but he has offered me a full refund and I have purchased a dedicated PAL camera which I can retro fit into the original camera housing to make it look factory Wink F**K IT you only live once
