OK, got round to doing the retro auto lights on my car and can say they work few little probs will tell you at the end., firstly you will need the main light switch with the auto light setting on it, this is quite easy to replace but be careful pushing it out they are quite fragile at the back as i found out. then you will need to change your light sensor to a 2005 on, this will have the light sensor in it YDB500320 and is a straight swap. finally you will need the LCM this needs to be a mk IV unit i used a BMW X5 unit 61.35-6 935 462 .lear.

Navcoder is a bit of software you can use yourself, but you need an iBus Interface. I've actually lent mine out, but when I get it back (after easter if you can wait that long?) I'll post up to you if you like? The USB interface is around £40 I think.

I just re-read your post, I missed the bit where yiou said your rear fogs are not working, I thought it was just the bulb warning, so the ibus interface may not help you with that, it will certainly turn off the bulb warnings though. That looks as if it will do the same thing as my usb thing. It's what I used to fix my nav after the dodgey update disc. Dan |

If it helps, I have noticed that my fogs do not work on my 2006 unless I have the switch to the headlight position. If in auto light mode, they don't seem to work. Java with Ivory 2006 4.2 Supercharged. 23.5k miles - NOW SOLD! |
