Would you buy a FFRR with .....

170k on the clock? TDv6.

Hello to everyone Smile

Sorry first post and I'm on the hunt, there are several out there with much lower mileage at the same price.

My gut feels good, it's immaculate compared to others and had a full RR history plus receipts!

Thanks for your advise and the p?!! taking that, always occurs on forums.....

Steve

Welcome Steve, no p?!! taking on this forum, we're a nice friendly bunch.

170k on a FFRR is nothing as long as it has been well looked after, as for LR service history, well that don't mean diddly squat. If your heart is set on this vehicle then why not have it checked out by a specialist before parting with your readies.

Ok guys the p?!! taking starts now Laughing Laughing

Hi Steve

Welcome along.

Won't be a TDv6 though. Either TD6 or TDV8. The TDV6 is found in the Range Rover Sport and Discovery. Graham

Wouldn't be this by any chance.

Linky

It actually looks a nice car and from the description well looked after with lots spent on it.

Personal opinion - The current owner may drive it hard though with having it chipped and he's only had it 6 months. Ash

It would, where did you get 6 months from? I read he got it in 2007!

So the novice in me is already showing, TD6 it is....

Thanks for all the replies so far.

I still have to shift my M3 so no hurry really, wrong time of year to sell. Although I have been thinking about it for the last 4 months. Just not had time to do anything about it.

Apologies Biggs - I read it wrong I think. His final paragraph in red says "when i got it back in June this year the first thing I did was take it to Allisport and get them to fit me an EGR Valve Blanking Kit."

I think he meant when he got back, in June - Obviously back from somewhere rather than "got it, back in June"

It looks perfect to me from the pics and description.

So long as its had all the bad things done gear box etc etc. You will have a great car for not a lot of money.

Good luck with the sale of you M3.

The only problem you have is cars as good as this one (by the look of the ad) won't be around for long and don't come around very often.
