My car is off to Landrover dealership for an inspection.

I'm having an extended warranty on the car so they need to inspect it before they will give me a warranty.
I presume they will want me to pay for any faults that are on the car before they will let me take it out.
Is there anything i should do to it or look for before they inspect it.

They have quoted me £1100 for the year with 10 payments of £110 interest free.

Looks like a good deal to me.

Any thoughts

I think that is the highest price I have seen for a warranty. It must be a s t hot warranty.. I would hope!
I don't think I would pay that, infact, I know I wouldn't.
You should ask for mot insurance to be included at that price.
Also, they will only give you the warranty if they inspect it, to make themselves sure that it is running perfectly and is not likely to break down!! Seems a bit loaded on their side. Previously..

Yes it's supposed to be the dogs b ks.
They have told me that everything is covered.

If a Turbo goes then it's a 5k job so I've been told.
A 100 quid a month is great piece of mind for me.

My car has only got 26k on the clock and is nearly 5 years old so its spent a lot of time sitting in David's (dhallworth) Garage and a very cold Scotland. I have a 12 month warranty on my 2003 Td6 with 120k on it.

Already had the pixel issue fixed and am just claiming for rear wiper motor.

Covers Engine, Gearbox, Turbo, Aircon, 4x4 mechanicals, Wiper motors etc for £289 the year......

I have shopped around with the following results.
Warranty Direct £980.00 (been told to stay well clear by my Indie)
Warranty wise about the same and i don't trust Quentin Wilson.
Landrover £1100 and its their own warranty fully comprehensive. As my car has only 26k mile i feel that i could have a good moan to Landrover customer services if they start to play up with any claims.

. . . . It won't be Land Rover's "own" warranty, it's just another insurance company with a green oval on the letter heading . . . .

The bottom line line is they are all insurance policies -

 Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

i think its just piece of mind if you're doing a few miles and it all goes pete tong.
for the sake of a grand your covered for gearbox turbos all electrical problems.
