AJV8 SC Cold Start Squeak

Read a few posts regarding this and as its a known problem it has a TSB out that involves replacing the idler pulley and FEAD belt then modding a bracket.

Has anyone done this themself - if so I'd appreciate some info regarding the job. had car about a month and noticed a very slight squeak, car has a warranty but if its an easy job I'd do it myself.

Kit seems pretty cheap and time is only about 1.5 hr so sounds pretty simple.

Apparently issue is caused by belt wandering on pulley and I'm concerned it could result in a shreadded belt.

Thanks

If it's in warranty, let them do it. Any problems will be their issue, not yours. Land Rover Addict

May get a quote from local LR garage but the warranty I got was from an independant dealer and probably Censored .... Think they have a max hourly rate payout of £35 per hour and the dealer I purchased car from said LR mechanics would probably charge more so take to independant if any issues .... An independant probably wouldnt know about the TSB tho.

Yes more like £100 per hour! Most Independents worth their salt down south are £50 per hour. Our warranties cover up to £75 per hour.
