map disc update

going to ask a stupid question i expect but hey, it is christmas afterall. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy , anyway, i still have to original 2004 disc in the gps, and am wondering if apart from actual road layouts etc, is there anything else on the 2012 disc that would be worthwhile in adding to the system should i decide to update Question Question as i live in rural france, the disc i currently have seems fine showing most if not all the roads as far as i can see so just wondering if it is worth the money to update, and if so, is it simply a case of popping the new disc in and hey presto?

and how much would it cost for western europe?

bob

Think the 2004 (non touch screen system) uses a CD system and not the newer DVD system

Hi Bob, i bought a new disc from Navteq 2 years ago, i have a 2002 Vogue. The standard CD will just give you an updated map with no additional facilities.......I found it worthwhile the roads change ove the years and yes you just load it like a normal CD Thumbs Up
