Dan

Im literally plugging the ibus 3 wire plug (4th is spare) from the intravee into the Resler USB interface and it cant find it

My Resler is the USB not the circuit board type like yours

I have as yet not gone into device manager to set the com ports but will try that tonight

Paul

Try using a few different usb ports and changing the com number (com6 worked for me for some reason). Also check everything is working - I managed to blow a few fused which didn't help!

Like I said, only connect the iBus data and Earth. Then see how you get on.

A bad workman blames his tools. Sorry, no offence intended. BUT it does work, the fact that you can't get it to work does not make IT rubbish.

There is of course the posibility that the interface is broken. If you plugged the lead from the CD changer strait onto the board then it will be as the 12v and earth are the other way round. Only if you used the end plug and then a ground wire will it work. If you've punted 12v+ around a sensitive circuit then it may be fried.

If you want me to check the board works pm me and I'll send you my address so you can post it to me and I'll check it out for you.

PS, I never got intravee to work in my car, I was using all 3 wires. I bet if I used just the two now it would work. I ended up cussing it and selling it on for a loss! Embarassed

I cant get them to install correctly
On the Resler site it states that the USB type needs a permanent live feed

Did you do a "Read" first? this then sets navcoder up for the options you have, rather than its default options.

In TV, you need to make it look like this:

It appears to be programming the car but when you test what ever you have programed it hasnt been successful

I think to get to this level of detail, and to be successful, you really need to either go to a dealer, or invest in one of those £1k devices (on ebay).

I have found that most of these cheaper systems purport to be able to communicate and adjust with most systems, but the reality is that they can't - not to that level.

Yer pays yer money, and get what you pay for IMO Big Cry Java with Ivory 2006 4.2 Supercharged. 23.5k miles - NOW SOLD!

Maybe you're doing it wrong, or maybe you're a dealer in disguise?

There are cheaper options out there, it's a lot more complicated to figure out how to do it yourself though over taking the car to the dealer. But if money is no object then I see your point.
