The problem we've got is our jack Russell won't stop whining! She cant wait to get into the car, but as soon as I move off, she starts. I've tried herbal remedies but nothing works. It's like she's distressed at times.

Any ideas chaps? 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

unfortunately you have to ignore them or they'll never stop. I did the same thing with the sleeping crate as I did with the car crate and that was put something of mine in with her. On the first day we got her (7 weeks ago) I put on an old T shirt and then spent a good hour before bed fussing over her, then took the T shirt off and gave it to her to sleep with. seemed to work OK... Regards

When I got my Wolfhound pup (size of a German Shepherd at 8 weeks old Wink ), I left him in a big carboard box next to the bed (cushion side). When he started whining, lowered my hand in the box, he sniffed, stopped whining and that was it (after a few nights he stopped whining altogether).

Once he was "safe" around the house (few weeks later) he slept at the end of the bed until I moved to a place with upstairs bedrooms. I never allowed him to walk stairs (bad for their shoulders I was told) and that was also fine as he was a few years old by then. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

He will stop, just takes time. It took ours about 4 nights to stop his whining and barking. Current MY2020

I have the roll up luggage net for three labs and and springer. It is cheaper than the metal dog guard and in my mind plenty strong enough and made form seatbelt like webbing. I also think if the worst was to happen I would rather they hit a luggage net than a solid metal grid for their benefit. There is less room when they are sitting up with the luggage net as the bar comes across the back of the seats but still plenty of room and they prefer to lie down anyway. The downside is if you have a wilfull dog that is determined to get through then it can get round the side of the luggage net. If you ever wanted the luggage net option, if you PM me I can look out the invoice of the parts needed and you can usually pick up the roller from ebay.

DOnt want to teach anyone to suck eggs here but if they are missing their mum and sisters and brothers, sometimes a warm hot waterbottle and an old wind up alarm clock hidden safely somewhere in the bed help to emulate sleeping near mum.

I have to transport my dogs to work, i've had one of these made.

http://www.cabtransitboxes.co.uk/

Not the cheapest but will out last the Range rover, it was custom made for another car but fits perfectly. Three things in a blokes life his dog,his car and a Cornish pasty, nothing else matters.

I regularly transport 2 big dogs, each weighing about 38kilo(Rotteiller , and Serra de Estrella, used by local sheep farmers to protect from wolves)
I have the Range Rover accessory wire mesh dog guard. It attaches to the locating roof anchors, and by webbing( same as for seat-belts ) to the boot floor attachment points. The webbing passes between the rear seats and the folding parcel shelf , no problem.Additionally, I have the rigid plastic boot liner ( RR accessory too , which has 2openings, through which the webbing passes . )
The dog guard is very rigid, shaped to fit interior vehicle contours, and I think is a classy looking piece of equipment , complimenting the L322 's classic clean lines. BUT this was a very expensive item , but for me a definite nessecity . Range Rover Vogue TD6 2002

Noddy, Jack Russell as well and he can't wait to get into the car! I have a crate and he loves it, goes to sleep as soon I'm driving off. Important that the crate isn't to big, just the size he's able to stand and turn around.
