A fair point on the reg plate location though - seemed much more sensible to have it on the lower part than the upper

JC = Marmite as everyone knows but one thing is for sure he's a genuine fan of Range Rover and it IS his favourite vehicle, he has said so on many occassions.

The point about the tailgate is true, they often film from the back of a FFRR with the top half open and lower section up so the number plate relocation is a minor issue for them but I am sure they can fit another plate!

As for tweeting reg no's of idiot drivers I'm fine with that Thumbs Up

Love marmite too Whistle

So the current model picture has both upper and lower tailgates open and the parcel shelf removed.

The 2013 RR picture has the lower tailgate up and the parcel shelf in place.

WHERE IS THE LIKE FOR LIKE COMPARISON? Smacks of journalistic sensationalism to me. 2016 RR SDV8 Vogue (Aintree Green)

Guys, before we crucify him, if you read the article, the comments were very tongue in cheek, and balanced out by him saying the car is 'utterly fabulous'.

Also as pointed out, he called the L322 'the best car in the world' and 'all the car you can ever need' so he can't be that much of a Censored ! Thumbs Up

Knowing him, he'll probably just go and recruit a dwarf cameraman! Rolling with laughter Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

I think it is quite impressive that he seems to be able to dupe people, even his fans and critics, a lot in making them believe some of most outrageous comments are "real".

Also the fact that Top Gear is so obviously scripted to give each of the three musketeers their "role" makes people believe he is that person all the time. I don't believe that, when you really listen to the guy and read his stuff, there is a very smart man underneath all the "noise".

I wonder when he shows up in his own L405 and what model it is (TDV8 Autobiography ??) MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

The comment from JC is 100% correct. The boot of the L405 is much smaller and the floor is higher.

Compared to the L322 the L405 has a comparable width on the rear axle but behind it it's getting much smaller. Also the angle on the rear tail gate eats a lot of boot space on the L405.

The floor of the boot of the new model is also much higher. This has to do with the Hybrid-version coming out next year. Battery and other stuff will be hided under the boot floor on the right hand side.

LR dealer comfirmed that you can load 4 big Samsonites in a L322 but not anymore in the L405.

I've seen the L405 and driven it. And you don't need any messure tool to proof above. Anybody can see it.

Agree. Had a look at one while waiting for my MOT this morning. The boot feels a lot smaller than the one in the L322. Paul
