New bloke needing advice please?

Hi Folks

I'm Ian from Birmingham and I need a little help.

I currently have an 06 X5 3.0D Sport, had it since it was a few months old and love it, however, I'm bored with it now, and having a succession of 3 Discos before it, I'm longing to get into a Range Rover, and have seen a V8 Vogue SE on an 05 plate that's fully loaded, has 89k on the clock with Overfinch alloys and I have to say I'm smitten, so, my question is, what do I look for and how do I tell if its a facelift model ?

Hope you can help, thanks in advance.

Ian

Been here for a few days now and already had so much great info from you.
I thought I'd invest in a full fat sticker to spread the word/love

Thanks for everything so far!

The facelift has a step in the front bumper, ie, the grille height is bigger than the headlight height, if you see what I mean.

You may have had more response posting outside the "General - Introduce yourself" area, as this tends to be where people introduce themselves, saying what they've got and sometimes posting a few pics up.

Welcome............this is an excellent forum.

England 2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

Hi All,

Steve here a new forum member, just bought my first FFRR a 2003 Vogue TD6 in Bonatti grey. It's a mixed bag really low ish miles @113K and very tidy outside. Inside is a different story it does look a little sorry for itself so currently sourcing a complete interior (I mean everything). Oh the standard CD sat nav/lcd display looks very dated and is full of problems so its also getting some treatment.

I have already found the forum a great source for information, I'm usually found on various VW/AUDI sites as VAG cars are usually all I buy. I also have a 2007 Mk5 golf GTI Edition 30 thays slightly tweeked and a great car.

Who knows where my RR journy will take me, I might look to sell it on once the interior is a nice place to be possibly after a face lift. I did have my heart set on a RRS but grew impatient whilst saving Smile

Steve

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Fuji White

Hello everyone,
Just bought a 2002 RR Vogue V8, 89k on the clock and a fab interior. This is n't my usual fare but I saw one on the telly and could n't help myself. I can't believe what luxurious motoring these cars provide, albeit at horrendous thirst. Work commitments mean that I am away from home at the moment but will post some pics next week. As an almost impulse buy I have done practically no research at all. Come to think of it all my cars have been impulse buys, I bought a Lotus Esprit in the middle of Winter with a foot of snow on the roof and even a Ferrari 348 without even test driving it. Although I accept this is n't the done thing with buying cars (try several, do research, check everything) I am far too impatient and fingers crossed have not been bitten yet. So, can anyone let me know what I have let myself in for?
Any advice gratefully received
