Never understood any of this tbh.

If we can afford such chariots then surely the running fluid consumption pales into insignificance!?

It does with me,I care not how much I use or spend. If the time comes when I think God,how much??...Then thats the time I realise I cant afford it anymore. Rolling Eyes

Yep agreed - only did this for the numerous responses that people always post on.

I certainly didn't buy to ever worry about mpg - it's the first and likely last time that screen will be displayed Smile

how many times have I heard that old chestnut - if none of us cared about FFRR running costs then we would all be driving brand new vehicles and change them every year - so even those who don't like to admit it do take note of running costs...

Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Bow down

jokes aside, I have quite a few friends who are seriously well off - they make me look like tramp - they can afford to change their cars just if it needs a wash - yet they don't - they keep them for 4 to 5 years and then buy new again...

got to be some logic there...

I don't care about running costs in terms of running the car I can afford to purchase.

Just because I can fanny away £3-400+ a month on petrol doesn't mean I can go and buy 80k's worth of vehicle.

now that is cheap - it might pay to buy a new TDV8 - the amount saved on Fuel over a S/C you would get a new vehicle for free Thumbs Up Very Happy
