First decent run in my FFRR Supercharged (2007 model)

I went to Milton Keynes from SE London this morning. Stuck to 70mph on the cruise control except for two right foot moments to overtake a couple of lorries then back to 70 plus 2 lots of 50mph roadworks (M25 set in Essex, M1 set near Luton).

24.4mpg

On the way back I did a pressed for time nearer 90, overtaking and not being shy of the throttle - all safely but at missus-moaning pace

18.5mpg

The run was A2, M25, Tunnel, M25, M1 to MK and exactly same route back. So long enough to give a good feel for motorway mpg for those that need to know

very good figures, however if the figures are taken off the onboard computer you need to check the accuracy first (you may have already done this) divided miles to gallons used etc.

Many owners have found that the readout is between 2 and 4 mpg out. We have 7 RR's and they range between being exactly right to 2mpg out.

What are your tips on how to work mpg out folks? I had an old method years ago, which I haven't used for a while. Fill the tank until you can't get anymore in, drive for 100 miles then fill up again. Whatever it took to fill it up is what 100 miles has used, and work it out from there.

Anyone got an easier/better/more accurate method? 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Thats way better MPG than my 4.4 V8 claims!!!

How do ensure your at a garage in exactly 100 miles!

Surely easier to fill up then drive to next fill up and see how much fuel has been used compared to miles driven. Basic calculation really

Yep, simple way is best.

My TDV8 is averaging 24.5 overall on the computer, can't be arsed to see if its true as all my fuel is free anyway....  Discovery 4 HSE

On a run to Heathrow last week my MY07 SC avearaged 14.8MPG.

Around town....12-13 MAX.

So I very much doubt anywhere near the twenty mpg area??

My old TD6 only did 19.5!  If you have nothing nice to say,say nothing at all.

If we can afford such chariots then surely the running fluid consumption pales into insignificance!?

When I hada my M5 (5.0ltr V I could get 21 mpg out of that overall, but I doubt I could get 20mpg out of a SC FFRR. My RRS SC averaged about 16.5 and I was doing lots of motorway miles in that. Discovery 4 HSE
