Heated seats too hot

Heated seat on for the first time in a while & seemed to get far too hot, most uncomfortable after a short time . Touched the seat while sitting on it & could feel the element , very hot to touch. Any ideas ? Tried the search stan , couldn't find anything! Thumbs Up

There is a built in thermistor I think its called that can sometimes fail and is not a problem unique to LR, every manufacturer heated seat has it happen after a while if the element doesn't give out first! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

The older cars heating elements in seats and steering wheel do this when they get on a bit and as Craig says its replacement or possible fire I am afraid.....

If it's too hot, switch it off? Shocked

Makes me glad now (for once) that I have the air heated versions, even though they are slower to warm up. Discovery 4 HSE
