New tyres time - anyone tried the atturo?

Need a couple of tyres and just wondered if anyone has had any experience with the Atturo AZ800 on for 255/55/r19 ?

They seem to be made by Federal and you can pick them up for about £104 inc vat and delivery but they seem new to the market?

Any advice would be much appreciated. 2003 Range Rover HSE 3.0 TD6

We can get these and the price is £98.40 inc vat each plus carriage.

Think you could find a far better tyre than the Atturo though, someone once said to me they were like driving on used durex. Andy....

Well, I bought some earlier this year - 255/55/19. I wanted a summer tyre as I have a set of dedicated winter tyres. I normally do a fair amount of tyre research. Tyres normally come in three main groups, premium brands that are quite good but expensive, non-premium brands that are quite good and a lot cheaper, and budget where there seems to be a fair amount of buyer remorse. I normally go for non-premium and avoid the other two.

Atturo are certainly budget. However, reading the reviews they seemed to do pretty well. They're actually made by Federal, who have a good reputation. The only thing they didn't score well on was ice/snow - but that's not a problem for me as I won't use them in the winter. The reviews were good enough for me to give them a try.

So far I've been very pleased. They're certainly quiet and comfortable, much quieter than the goodyears I had on. They seem fine in the wet. It's a little early to tell but they seem to be wearing well. No idea about off roading as I don't do any, apart from one occasion when I off-roaded out of a car park to avoid paying.

Got to say, they seem a bargain in the true sense of the word - you're not paying a low price for crap.
