United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

Don't be confusing the bhp of the engines Wink the torque matters more in an ff for the average driving it incurs Smile

As above. I don't see why the SSRR is so popular. If you need the disco offroad ability and separate chassis and body get the disco, save your cash and get a higher spec model. If you need an ff get a slightly older ff.

I have an older 1/2 BMW 1/2 ford Ffrr vogue and can say there are some features you really need on the ff. reversing cam, satnav, good av system.. But then things like analogue tv, venture cam and analogue low down clock just seem pointless to me. Even RSE has been recognised as a bit pointless with the chap availability of tablets and the flexibility they offer compared to RSE.

A fold out tailgate you can sit on is a great feature you get on a disco and ff but not on an ss?!?

The tyres and wheels on an SSRR say it all. It's meant for wags to zip to and from their gyms and lunches and 'personal' trainers.
The disco is a workhorse that offers a fairly decent level of comfort or basicallity if you want it.
The ff offers good luxury as a basic and just adds to it as you spec up the levels but can still on occasion carry tonnes of crud about or a picnic hamper, set of shotties and ammo boxes and even a dog for some off the cuff weekend hunting and still get you across a muddy field on standard tyres and rims Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged Supercharged Java Black

I think the Terrain Response Superchargeds have the infinitely variable electronic rear diff, that unless you go off road and try and climb up some slippery rocks you'll probably never use. At the end of the day FFRRs are exceptionally capable machines off-road, even on large rims with road tyres. I've seen a L322 with AT Grabbers waft up stuff some Defenders were struggling on. In fact I'd be willing to bet that as a stock vehicle on similar tyres the L322 will Censored all over a Defender, the only saving grace for the Defender is that you probably wouldn't cry if you creased the bodywork a bit. However if you aren't really bothered about ultimate off-road performance then you can happily get a pre-TR one and it'll be more than capable. All TR really does is adjust the settings for you, and change a few maps to help stop you making mistakes, something a bit of experience would probably sort anyway.

If you want Sport cornering ability then buy an IIDTool for your FFRR, drop the suspension 20-25mm and fly round corners. Then after a couple of days you'll put it back and realise that the FFRR will still go round corners at the same speed, just a bit more scarily, however the overall comfort is vastly increased.

I didn't have TR when i took my FF offroad and it was just fine and IIRC the Rear diff is non-locking for the TD6 Vogues unless spec'd so i coped quite well Smile And i did use MTR's as the ff is a fatty it needs the extra grip Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
