I'v never looked under my seats but I assume they must be plumbed into the HEVAC system to get their heated or cooled air ? cant say for sure though. 2008 MY Supercharged

its all electrical and all of the connections are the same, the later seats have a cooling fan in them + the Heating elements, I assume there should be a Further ECU and a link piece of Electrical wiring, thats the bit I am unsure off. |

Heated and cooled seats in a FFRR...whatever is the world coming to. Sounds like you should be driving an A8 instead |

There is a further Motorola control unit for the climate seats positioned under the removable plastic panel under the drivers seat, maybe this is the piece you need plus the associated wiring to complete your retro fit project? MY2007 S/C - Stornoway / Jet |

Can you get to these modules without taking the seats out? I need to have a poke about at mine but I'm not sure I want to unbolt the seats. If not, how hard is it to take a seat out?

Taking the seats out is 4 x Allen Bolts slide it back take out the front bolts, slide it forward take out the back bolts then Diconnect the Electrical plugs, all very straight forward |

That would be correct on a vehicle that was not originally fitted with climate seats like yours or are you talking about the donor vehicle you got the seats from? If so maybe the position changed between model years as it is definitely under the drivers seat on mine. Anyway there is one on eBay at the moment, good for the pics to see what you are looking for if nothing else.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-RANGE-ROVER...1165655212 MY2007 S/C - Stornoway / Jet |

Hmm for £10 I might take a punt and see if it fixes my sporadic seat issues. Maybe after I have pulled the seats out though, which could take me longer than the auction to get round to ...

Ok, I managed to get the seat out and found some rice crispies, a biro and some boiled sweets on the ECU. Tested the seat out with the ECU in my hand and it appears to "click" and turn off when it does the drivers seat. Doesn't do the same for the passenger seat. Might have to try a new one after all ...

I have ordered the ECU and 2 additional wiring looms that show on the parts lists for heated and cooled so i can see what happens does the ecu sit under the seat or under the centre console?
