Dealer reflashed transmission and engine ECUs - haven't noticed it since. Definitely felt gearbox-related to me. |

Having done a 450 mile trip on motorways I have to say that mine feels engine related. On very light, trailing throttle, at 80 mph it almost 'misfires'. I cannot see what transmission action would occur at that speed unless for some strange reason the lock-up is disengaged. Car due into the dealer this week, if they ever call to arrange.

Reflash on my car cured the problem too. Have driven about 2500 miles since and all is well.

Jez, the dealer was Farnell in Leeds who did a cracking job. Done another 100 miles and no sign of that dangerous stutter |

What is a relfash ? My '11 TDV8 has exactly same problem, going into the dealer this week for new pads, what do I need to ask for to get the "cure" for this at same time. Does anyone have a LR reference for this matter so I can point dealer in right direction. Thanks |

its a dealer software upgrade...the fullfat has many 'mini' computers called ecu's and these talk to each other and if one isnt doing its job then it will affect the rest....... tell your dealer you have issues and he should do a software upgrade.. ... - .- -. Y. O. L. O. . |

I had the same problem. First time they updated the software. However a few weeks ago it had it again at 30K miles. So the dealer looked at it and found a failing small sensor generating those bloody EGR valves. The device measures the exhaust but the small holes in it were completely filled with exhaust dust and therefore not working. After changing it, the problem was solved. I've seen the old one which came out but didn't get the LR item number. Problem is not only solved as described by RFAA but it accelerates now again like a new one. Difference is staggering. Throttle response is again like from new. The LR mechanic itself was surprised by the result. 2017 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 silicon silver 2011 Defender 90 2.4 TDCI Nara Exclusive 2008 Porsche 911 997 4S Black/black 1970 Porsche 911T 2.2 in restauration 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ40 concours winner |
