2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Fuji White

Body Panel Materials

Hi all.

Does anybody know what the various body panels are made of. Are they similar to the P38 e.g. mixture of steel and aluminium. If so, what panel is made of what.

2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Doors, front wings and. Bonnet are aluminium, everything else is steel........... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Parts that rust are steel, parts that corrode and turn to dust are aluminium

Rear wheel arch lips seem to be the biggest issue,

Not protected when new, but you can put protectors on like the sport. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Is it like a plastic edging that fits over the lip or is it LR supplied or I have to search to find something to do the job.

Search on here for rear wheel arch, I think.

I did a thread on it with pictures.

Buy from land rover dealer and cut to length.

also bottom edge of upper tailgate and all the cars I've seen always on the right hand side. Just about to put a new tailgate on mine.

I,ve just found out the proper part number for the L322 rear wing rubber edging CLB500010. Ordered two collect Wednesday, £5.50ish + vat.

What !! are you saying I don't fit proper parts ? !!

When I asked at the dealer in Chesterfield, they couldn't come up with anything, so went with the strip from another model, and cut to length.

Post a pic up of the correct strip, if you don't mind..........wonder if it will cover all of the lip.....or just the inner bit....
