Thinking about Hillendale myself. I have been using Brock for 15 years, when they were Dutton forshaws they were great but once they changed to James Edwards, even though they had the same staff, things went on a downwards spiral.- I am going to have a test drive in a Disco4 and i might change later this year as even though I love my FFRR its not good for carrying grand kids and all the stuff that goes with them= so i am thinking of trying Hillendales or even Lakeland -cant get any worse service i am sure. Car has been into stealers for 2 days for the starting problem, they have fitted a new battery FOC so will see how it goes. I also mentioned that the drivers seat squab side was wearing against the seat frame and that i knew there was a LTB for this. They are contacting LR and will let me know-wont hold my breath though. They lent me a D4 while it was in, was just a GS but was impressed with the engine and the way it drove. I think however it must have been the butty van as it was up to the eyeballs,20 miles of diesel left in it and no water in washer bottle, what a way to impress a prospective customer. you could be right !! I also asked them to look at why the car was not relocking after 2 mins if car unlocked and then no doors are opened -they said they had fixed it -guess what !! Ex D1, D2, D3 owner now 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE |

The lockng issue you have isn't a fault it's a design.

Macdaddy not sure i get your last post-car should lock itself if no doors are opened after an unlock -according to the handbook its after 2 mins - this is a dealer set item, which was supposed to be enabled when new as I asked for it to be enabled. never checked it since new. Only noticed it when my grandkids had been playing with my car keys and went outside an hour later to find car unlocked, luckily i checked. Dealer said they had sorted it but obviously not. Next time i am past its b********g time again Ex D1, D2, D3 owner now 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE |

thought i would reopen this thread again-battery went flat again about 2 weeks ago .LRA came out found nothing wrong but he reckoned that there was a new software update to stop this happening as it is caused by car not shutting down properly. Going in tomorrow to be sorted?? will update when i found out what if anything was done. Ex D1, D2, D3 owner now 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE |

yes is was Brock-they have supposedly updated the software, but as the fault only seem to happen in the winter when there is more drain on the battery how do i prove that its ok. When i said that to them the reply was that it was down on record and i would be covered. if it happens again next winter it will be out of Warranty so watch this space. Just need to keep it going to summer 2012 then Evogue here I come. Don't need a big car anymore as I have sold my Tin tent. Mind you this does depend on whether SWMBO like the Evogue, has her own Mini but still keeps pinching mine. Ex D1, D2, D3 owner now 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE |
