It's the main reason I got a ffrr was to tow my caravan.

We tent quite a bit, although I've now stated I'm never camping in the rain ever again as it's THE most miserable thing to do on hard-earned time off ever!

And we've considered buying a caravan but can't quite justify it yet. I only like Hymer from what I've seen so far.

And I much prefer motorhomes, although again I only like Hymer. But my wife's not convinced.

And I do like hotels and having one's beds made, but you can't really put the (young) kids to bed and leave them in the way you can with a tent / caravan / motorhome.

Yep, I'd quite like a camping / caravan section. Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.

I returned to vanning 2 years ago after a 10 year break Thumbs Up

Stayed in some top hotels and villas during the break but you cant beat your own bed (nobody else slept in) and getting up for breakfast when you want - not when they say Bow down

We now have active dogs again and as said nice hotels don't like them Sad

One night this month in a Hotel cost me £200 and we couldn't take the dogs whereas 2 weeks in August in a field with views cost me £182 - the only thing that could improve that would be a FFRR TDV8 to pull the van Cool

We have a fixed bed and just pull the duvet straight in a morning so no bed making Laughing

You wont be stuck behind me doing 35 either unless I am behind 2 wagons driving side by side or a tractor Rolling Eyes

There is a forum for those who hate vans by the way - it is called Freel2 Whistle Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!
