Be careful of fakes though! eBay is full of fake car cleaning products it would seem at the moment... Big money in decanting some crap into an "Autoglym" labeled container and selling for a fortune... Craig ![]() |

Fair point, but I only buy from trusted sellers. A fake product can be useless and the products I've bought have all done excatly the same job with the same colour liquid, smell (very important!), consistency and duration once applied. Si. <This is my name.

I got a 5 litre bottle of trade tyre 'restorer' given to me several years ago (the bottle said - don't inhale, can cause lung problems etc - very worrying), but the think I liked about it was that it just made the tyre wall look like a new tyre as opposed to a shiny tyre (which I have only ever seen in a showroom). SO it wasn't gleaming after application, but basically looked like a newly fitted tyre. Steve

If you want a long lasting product, then I am with Stan on the boot polish. Plus it's nice and cheap, a bit like me.

As in another thread about shiny tyres, I can well recommend RAC tyre shine from B&M at £3 a can. Dries on shiny and no side spit and lasts rather long, give it a try. |

On my newish tyres I use screwfix no nonsense degreaser with a stiff brush to get all the brown residue off the side walls before applying anything. Look much better. |
