Took it for a nice drive in the countryside, just because. Also spent some time faffing with a "new" Venture Cam off the Bay of Fleas, supposedly new but not actually doing anything at all. Any and all advice would be welcome, but I'm not losing any sleep over it because the Venture Cam that came with the car is working fine...

Go to BnQ for a friend to get a new spade and came round a corner to be greeted by an old fart in the middle of te road doing a u turn at the set of lights who then proceeded to side swipe me....

Scraped both alloys, wing and doors an drivers window mechanism is now stuffed!!!
Mud guards both scraped and alloys badly scuffed an tyres nicked as well so will see if they go down overnight before driving it incase they are damaged too much but will be pushing for them to be replaced to be honest as ones got a definite slit in it that's not too deep but still an advisory on the mot!

Gunna chase his insurance tomorrow and see if he has fessed up yet and if not ring him and give him the choice of legal action or admitting he made a mistake. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Cheers Craig. Phoning the ejit later and seeing if he will admit to it or not and if not well let the insurance sort it with him as I have a witness and photos..

Well the fella was honest and owned upto it and has his car already booked in for tomorrow Shocked

However now the insurance are being funny with me as i want LR to repair it and want a FFRR to replace it as in LIKE for LIKE. However as mine is a 2005 apparently its not a prestige car anymore so the best they may do is a chevvy spark/nissan note, et al!! My response was polite but firm so the lady is now see what she can do for me... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Drove mine into a loch ... literally ...

Well, went a trip up north over the weekend and a few of the lochs are really down on their levels. I stopped for lunch at side carpark bit and followed an offroad track from the car park down to the shore side ... the track just continued past the normal water line down into the level which would be under water ... was like a moonscape ...

On driving back up, there were folk watching drive back up the track looking mighty jealous.

I gorget just how good it is off road ( and just how much clearance it has ) V8 or else ...

Drove back from Bordeaux - towing my Jeep, so always a slow one - it's a long way at 60 !

That's it for another summer Big Cry

Got an annoying clunck/click/bang fixed on the steering at 47p2's place... And saved the £1800 the main stealer wanted for changing a steering rack that had nothing wrong with it! Shocked Previously..

Well, today I helped a mate sort his D3. Needed to get into it - flat battery and broken emergency lock. All cos of a duff alternator, which took a while to dig out of that engine bay. Laughing

And the Full-Fat provided the jump start source, as well as transporting my tools. Happy days !!

Dom.
