In the absence of a service manual...

Where does the air compressor relay go?

I ordered one a couple of weeks ago and now I've fixed my compressor, I need to fit this relay as is recommended.

Part no YWB 500220

Thanks in advance 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Here you go, Item 4, adjacent to rear fuse board.

Accordng to Rave:

OPERATION
Power Distribution
Feed from the positive battery terminal (C0192) is supplied to fusible link 5 and fuse 57 of
the passenger compartment fuse box (C0632) on an R wire. Fuse 57 (C0582) provides a
constant battery feed to the air suspension ECU (C2030) on an RN wire. The air suspension
ECU (C2030) is earthed on an N wire.
Fusible link 5 (C0588) is connected to fuse 18 of the rear fuse box (C2024) by an R wire.
Fuse 18 provides a constant battery feed to the air suspension relay, which is also located
in the rear fuse box.

Cheers guys.

Replaced the relay but can't see what difference it's supposed to make? The dealer advised replacing it as and when I got the air compressor replaced. I've heard other sources say its recommended to change it but anyone know why? 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

The new relay has been modified as the old ones had a tendency to stick on and burn out the compressor.

For the small cost involved in the relay it is worth changing

Belt and braces matey.

Could be that if the previous compressor was drawing excess current in in dieing days that the contracts could get burnt or pitted inside the relay - leading to high resistance and the new compressor running slowly or not at all.

Well the compressor isn't running as often. In fact I haven't heard it since the relay was fitted! 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded
