Called in today to enquire about the 2010 model, asked the sales guy if he had any battery issue's with them, and told me the main problems were down to owners switching on the pre heaters for more than 20 mins at a time which drains the battery quite a lot and also the self deploying steps can cause problems too with the battery .......

Heaven forbid owners should use the features on the car that it was BUILT WITH!

My pre-heater auto stops after the car is warm - normally about 10-15 minutes so no battery problems. |

Plus you cant set it for more than 20 mins can you? I suppose you could just keep pressing the button.... but then you could also leave the lights on on purpose if you were a moron? |

if the battery is OK there is NO problem, and it works perfectly exactly how LR intended. The only thing is in my experience batteries only last approx 2 years if you cane the pre heater and don't do very long runs after its been on |

i mentioned it on another post, perhaps a deepcycle battery would be better, the batteries that are fitted are not meant to be run heavily down and then bulk recharged on a regular basis. |

I use my FBH every day for 10 to 15 minutes and then drive the car for 35 minutes each day to work with headlights, heated seats and steering wheel on, no issues with battery power yet.
