well would you belive it ,went for a drive today and all ok apart from the audio no sound the sat nav is ok with sound ,the radio display is as it should be but no statin name or any thing writern in the boxes cant acsess the tape or cd changer computer is ok as well ,any ideas guys had the car about 7 weeks now getting realy off with it ,but love the car as well

Pete just a thought but have you tried going in to the "secret code" that you can find on Wiki.

Might be something in there that will help

well it seams to be an itermitant fault as worked fine while out last night but wouldent come on when restarted at first then came on then off then back on .

did range rover put these faults into the car to keep us on our toes???

when the screen goes as pic you carnt get into the secret code

Low voltage?

not voltage issue as shows 12.7at battery have hawkeye diagnostics for l322 td6 in the manchester area ,pm for deatalis.

Time to dive into the left hand boot area and remove a few connectors to clean them up. This could all be un-related to previous problems ( a bit like changing one radiator hose only to find the next one in line starts leaking !).

You will find it easier to access everything if you remove the black plastic tray as well

Does sound like battery problems though. How old is the battery? Are connections OK?

Also, if you start up and it works, switch off and wait a few minutes for the power to turn off at the SatNav, then try again. (You can watch the SatNav box in the boot and wait for the red light to go out - you should always do this if planning to disconnect the battery otherwise you can foobar your satnav)

Batteries are our favourite source of problems

You may need diagnostics to check for / clear any faults ??? .
