United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black

Hitched up the car trailer to the FF and headed across to the East coast to collect a metal lathe weighing 2/3rds of a tonne, so about 1.2 tonnes all up... should be barely noticeable in the Range.

Round trip of about 350 miles.... the FF made it a comfortable dream Cool (although the electrics socket is much further forward then the towbar on the FF (LR installed towpack) which meant the trailer cable was only just long enough and on hard right turns would loosen the electrics... another little job to do Rolling Eyes Lloyd Barnes

Scotland 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

Got it back on Friday in time to go away for the weekend.

New back up battery and sounder, replaced the battery lead and reloaded the body ECM so alarm OK at the moment.

Took the car to get tyre repaired and just found that the eastern european worker scratched my alloy! Then found that the bodyshop that did my arches did not remove the debris from behind the arch lips even though the inner liner was removed!!! Where is professionalism nowadays? Evil or Very Mad

After having the fuel pressure sensor & a new battery fitted, car started fine for a while , but now has the exact same starting problem again. Takes over 30 secs to fire up, if at all. First thing in the morning been ok, then gets progressively worse. Ended up leaving it and taking a walk round the block to cool down, just getting so frustrated with the car now, but sadly don't have the funds to upgrade to a tdv8 at present, especially as the wife wants another kid! Think I will have to either find a very good local Landy indie or a diesel specialist who can pin this issue down once & for all. This is on top of replacing all track rod ends, rear brake pipes, just got new discs & pads all round which were due to be fitted but will now be delayed. Oh & the handbrake shoes need doing for the mot at the end of the month. Should have kept the S Type R.........

Is the secondary pump that is in front of the rear near side wheel ok?
You should be able to hear it running with the engine off and ignition on.

After putting the original registration plates back on, waiting for he V5 to come back, and getting it serviced, new MOT and 1 years tax, ive finally put the car back up for sale today. Steering clear of chancers on ebay, Ive gone with Autotrader. Had my first call and a viewing tomorrow from a local.

Fingers and toes crossed! Reformed

With the recent weather ive not been able to give the ffrr a good clean for a couple of months so it had the works this morning. Wash, clay bar, deep clean treatment and lastly a polish. Just finished in time to go to oldham to buy a slide for my daughter. Big smile on my face driving a clean sparkling FFRR down fast lane of m62 !

Then it rained just as i got home !!!! 2003 Range Rover HSE 3.0 TD6
