Central locking fault

Had a fault on the front passenger door with an intermittent lock / unlock fault. I removed the door card and sprayed the mechanism with WD40, all seemed well, now it is refusing to unlock at all. Any suggestions?

Remove the connector and try to clean as much as you can, preferably with clean compressed air. Also if possible use electrical contact cleaner spray, that is supposed to be better than WD-40. (I smuggled a can to here as I can not get it here, the contact cleaner that is, WD-40 is easy to get here). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Door unlocked today so i have removed door card, cleaned contacts and sprayed some more WD40. Module removed from door card and plugged back in, will not be refitting door card until i am confident it will unlock.

A good tip is to spray the door with a hose pipe for a good 10mins... Meaning if the weather is too hot, it will cool it... If there's an earth fault, the water normally cures this too (well enough to get it to open once so you can remove the door card to inspect)
