Well, we’ve just tried activating / deactivating the 3 turn flash on the CCF of our Range Rover 2007 and unfortunately, it does not work. We believe this feature is activated / deactivated the same way the low temp warning bong is, that is directly in the IPC. The low temps warning is one feature we definitely want to be able to change since we benefit from the 4 seasons here and this bong makes us think about other more serious bongs and lights not so glittering with joy. Rest assured that we will work to find the solution for those features.

MPx: Unfortunately, it cannot be done this way. What we will do is add it in the live value function which will be equivalent. This way you will be able to see it on request.

My IID Tol just arrived. Got it updated and been out to play

Gave me more detailed fault codes than my blackbox faultmate (eg it identified my EGR fault which faultmate did not).

Really easy to use.

Disabled "key bong"
Enabled automatic lock when moving (great safety feature IMO to stop theft from car at lights etc)
Enabled sat nav on the move (but forgot to test it's working)
Enabled chirp on lock

Questions;

1 - I enabled auto re-lock think this will be good for those senior moments (Did i lock the car????) But worried now - if i leave key in the boot and forget whilst i'm washing the car - will it lock my key in??

EDIT: the auto re-lock is when you unlock car then do not open any doors. Duh! - So not possible to lock the keys or the kids in the car

2 - Activated follow-me-hoe for main beam and reverse lights - but did not seem to work?! I take it this should turn on the main beam and reverse lights when i lock the car? Does it matter what setting the light switch in the car is at? (Usually auto)

Overall great tool and soooo satisfying to have control over all these config options..

Now for the latest news:

After Mike (MPx) requested it, we thought it might be useful to others also. We’ve added the ability to see Service Announcement values in the live values function for 2006-2009 Range Rovers. It is also available on the Discoery 3/LR3 and RRS. For the Range Rover, it shows:

-If the Service Announcement is activated
-How many kilometers are left until your next service is due
-The service period (almost all vehicles are set at 12 000 km)
-How many days have passed since the last service interval reset was performed.

The IPC does not base itself directly on a distance left but rather on how many liters of gasoline the vehicle has consumed since the last service interval reset was performed. The IPC assumes an average consumption of 16.8 L/100 km and give you the approx distance left. We do exactly the same in the IIDTool. The real distance until the next service reminder will therefore vary depending on your average fuel consumption.

We’ve also added the possibility of activating/deactivating the Cold and Hot Lights Monitoring features in the car configuration menu (good idea Craig!). This should prevent flashing of LED’s and warning messages on converted vehicles. For more details, please consult the functionality table of the website.

We are also working on improving the updater software. Soon, it will be able to update itself on the press of a button. This way, users won’t need to uninstall, download and install the updater when a new firmware version is available.

The feedback is justified.

Just yesterday i emailed Patrick about HDC and suspension warnings i was getting. He offered to help, and within a few hours i had emailed him the error codes and he had replied with explanation and even offered a couple of probable causes for me to investigate.

What is hot and cold monitoring ? I presume it's something to do with checking for a malfunctioning bulb, but not sure of the difference between the two.....

Also, now that the functionality has been introduced, do i need to uninstall and then reinstall my current V2.17 ? Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

Patrick, my take on Steve's answer is that by doing a "reset" it will (or at least might) switch the function back on. I'm guessing that if it does work, the car would then display 15000 miles next time I switch on as the start of the next service countdown. I was hoping for something closer to an on/off flag somewhere, and if switched on would actually show the current status (eg 1250 miles to go to next service or whatever). So is it the case that there's nowhere to look to see the current status albeit not currently dashboard displayed???

Eerrr yeah thanks Craig. Last service last August at 52k. Now at 64.5k.....so the answer is???

Anyway no worries cos Patrick and co have done a fantastic job of adding the feature so I know that the distance to go until the next service is due is about 700miles. Just as you thought?

Well the obvious answer would be service due in August as its a yearly service if adequate mileage has not been achieved...

I was driving up to the Isle of Skye yesterday with my family for our summer holiday, the SC was full laden, 4 bikes on the back and was effortless, then the EML light came on but still driving fine...

So I pulled over, plugged the IID in and read the fault code - P0140, Bank 1 Sensor 2 no circuit.....cleared the fault fired her back up and drove the rest of the way with no issues or reoccurence of the light - any ideas ?

So handy having the IID Tool  Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

I think that is an O2 sensor. Won't do any harm in driving with that fault, enjoy your holiday!
