As someone who is looking at FFRRs at the moment, for me it would depend on:

Is it petrol or Diesel?
What colour?
Sat Nav?

There is currently a TD6 Vogue in Blue with just shy of 100k, about 95k from memory on Autotrader for £8.5k, there is also a very nice Black 4.4 Vogue that has an LPG conversion that has only done 59k and is up for £9.5k or best offer on Ebay.

While I completely agree that £6k for yours sounds like a take I would say you would be very lucky to get over £8k for it with cars like that around.

One thought on price/demand. When new, the TD6 HSE was some way below a 4.4 Vogue in terms of cost, oomphh and toys. There looks to be little difference in purchase cost now at 10 years old and so many will be tempted by the extra "value" of the top spec stuff and maybe a bit blind to the extra running costs they imply? Whatever, IMO you've got to look seriously at how yours stacks up against them and not just other TD6 HSEs.

Oh and I also agree with the above...try Pistonheads. I put my old one on both. Got several silly offers from Ebay, but a serious interest from PH and it sold within a week (back in April).

Well mine certainly is not a low spec HSE, the previous owner might as well brought a Vogue. He then had the dvd system/screens in headrests etc, which is why I brought it! And the fact its well looked after.

I am just going to leave it for a bit, whilst I wait for the V5 to come back following my plate transfer, take a load of pictures, and try a few other sites as well, then just sit it out!

In the mean time I am certainly going to keep enjoying it

When my brother had a Vogue of the same year, the only difference (apart from the DVD system) was mine didnt have a sunroof!

Even the seats were vogue spec ordered!

As I said, I dont understand why he didnt just buy a Vogue as it must have worked out cheaper then to spec up an HSE, but then I brought on spec, not badge. Reformed

I have made the mistake in the past of buying lower models and adding extras to save money and when I came to change they always give low spec price saying extras don't add value but help to sell the car

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

Well I took a little time out whilst I transferred it back to the original plates, got it freshly serviced, waited for the V5 to come back and stuck it on Autotrader on Friday evening for £50, 3 weeks on line, 2weeks in the magazine and 1week in Top Marques, advertised forthesame price as before.

The phone started Friday evening, and as quick as a viewer left to think it over another was viewing. Sold it Saturday afternoon!

Only had to put up with one wideboy, who claimed it was really tatty, was going to cost thousands to bring up to mint condition! (Even though no one else complained, and it was not advertised as mint.)

A few of the others phoned back to say that they was interested but I had to tell them its sold!

So thank you guys (and girls) for this great site during my ownership. The new owner is allready aware of this site.

Ive enjoyed my Range Rover ownership, but its time to move on for me.

I took my lower price in the end, but also allowed them another £100 off to replace the drivers side trim that covers the seat switches. I have fixed everything else, and at this point, its all working as it should, but I never did replace that bit of trim. As was mentioned, you could probably push that bit more nearer winter. Reformed
