Personally I would't take your own car off their premises until I had it checked over by someone else , due to you saying they were bought over Thumbs Up

This happened to me once at Sainsburys ,

I put the key as they say under the steering column , started the car up , turned the steering wheel lock to lock with the key still under the column pressed the lock and unlock buttons on the fob a couple of times , never worked on the first attempt but on the 4th attempt after about a ten minute period of doing so everything worked , started , central locking working ...

Booked it into the dealers next day and they couldn't find any fault , so far up till now it has been working fine Thumbs Up

Might help , might not Thumbs Up

Dealer dropped my Sport back this afternoon to collect the Vogue loaner with faulty smart key Sad

Walking round the vehicle with them I noticed some new scratches to the repaired wing and a new black mark on the rear bumper Shocked

After they left I also noticed the trim to C pillar has been refitted poorly after the repair and there is paint on the front grille land rover badge - the finish looks more bodged than "Land Rover Approved Standard" Rolling Eyes

I next sat in the car and the first thing I smelt was stale cigarettes despite me never smoking as the smell alone makes me sneeze and gives me a sore throat and eyes Thud

Later I took the car for a run - within 100 m of my house it lit up like a xmas tree!

1. Gearbox fault

2. Emergency brake assist not available

3. Park brake fault

4. Stability control not available

5. Cruise not available

6. Air suspension lowered for safety

I pulled over and turned it off for a while then resumed when warnings cleared Mad

At the next roundabout I had complete power loss on the roundabout much to the annoyance of other motorists and myself Evil or Very Mad

My trip was short and on return run everything lit up again and I experienced power loss on the roundabout again Yawn

At this point with the return of the sport in a worse condition than it left, the persistent faults and to top it all being let down by the vogue loan car - I am very concerned if buying another range rover is the right decision and maybe time to switch to another brand? Sorry to hear that muddy drive/get it recovered back to the dealer and tell them straight in writing what you expect to be sorted that is unacceptable under any circumstances. If they dont supply a loan car inform them you will rent one at their expense and get some legal advice on your position. Mine was a blue one! Smile

Get on to the dealer principal by phone, then in writing. I would also CC to land rover directly.
Give them 24 hours to give you a response & if they won't solve all problems, take it to a no win no fee solicitor.

Well the LRA guy has changed the brake switch again - showed me the computer results and it did show this being the problem with all the warnings displayed logged with date, time and mileage for Friday and Sunday but would it do it today when I took him for a run to show him Banging Head

He thinks the one fitted 5 weeks ago was also faulty or not calibrated after fitting and although the dealer said they would check the calibration during the service he thinks they probably forgot after they dropped the car Rolling Eyes

Two runs since he did the deed without a hiccup so far Thumbs Up

I said to him pity you didn't do the service or sort the bodywork after them Laughing

He works for the aa who are providing LRA now and in his opinion reliability is improving under tata control due to more investment and they are very interested in feedback on any work LRA do to fix issues Bow down Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I would tell them that it is well documented on Range Rover L322 and Sport forums and tell them or send them the link to it ....

But knowing LRCS.they won't take a blind bit of notice

Or try and go to the top of TaTa by contacting Mr Ratan

Honda may be top reliability, but if you get a good range rover, they are the best and nothing else will compare for luxury & drive. The Honda is probably great, but surely a bit boring to own & drive - a little bit soul-less

Don't loose faith, just keep saving so you can buy a better one.

Good RR's are about but i honestly think after my own experience of an SSRR they are just utter tripe.

Go for a proper RR and you wont do wrong if you use your gut to buy it Smile

Its worked for me so far and i travelled 150miles by train to get mine Smile and only thing that was wrong with it was the lower tailgate which i still haven't fixed as i know roughly where the fault is and hardly use it Smile

Get onto them and kick up a fuss. Or park it on the street outside the dealer filled with signs saying how rubbish the car is.. They will soon be chasing you down to get it sorted Wink

http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/resou...eLandscape

http://www.clactonandfrintongazette.co.uk/...eLandscape

TBH both of them are super tame and if i was in your shoes it would be things along the line of,
'Another Faulty Range Rover that Land Rover don't care about'
'Another Lemon sold by *****'
'Broken down with the ***th Fault'
'This car is a lemon in disguise'
'Built on a friday, broke AGAIN on a saturday'
'For Sale, 22k Miles, 21k Miles done at dealership'
'Buy a car from here and your parking space is behind mine waiting for the faults on it to be repaired again'
'Welcome to (insert dealer name) Zoo. Please be advised the chimps WILL damage your car'

You get my drift as you get put profanities in there otherwise the 5-0 wont be happy about it but as long as its outside the dealership they cant kick up a fuss about where you park and the damage to business as people role in will hurt them more than you Wink

Easier and less stressfull than dealing with LRCS and the dealer principle TBH.

Fingers crossed for you fella Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
