Thanks. Anyway 30mm seems a little to much, I don't want the wheels to stick out the arches. Does Land Rover sell spacers for these cars? J.Seven |

Spacers will cause extra stress on wheel bearings and other suspension components |

Down to nuts being to short or the spacers themselved ? I would have thought that if you changed to longer nuts to compensate for the spacer then there shouldn't be a problem. Happy to be corrected though...... |

the spacers are bolted onto the hub using new smaller nuts and using the existing stud holes...that leaves the spacer studs for the wheel to locate onto and be 'nutted'..

I wouldn't touch them for the reasons mentioned already - extra stresses on the wheel bearings, and wheels falling off - which is probably why they are completely illegal over here. |

I know this sounds like ganging up on a fairly innocent post but I can't for the life of me see why you would fit spacers , the standard wheel offset is correct for the vehicle putting these thing in put a ( very ) week link in the drive train and at the same time increase the load to the same drive train whilst simultaneously changing the steering geometry increasing bump and torque steer . So all round a bad idea . 2008 MY Supercharged

i can see where the attraction is , the rears on the range seem to not fill out the arch properly so fitting 30mm spacer would make it look better..as for strain on the wheel bits/drivetrain etc , i cant see that as the range is very well built.. ... - .- -.

wheels with a bigger offset and rim width do look better on the rears but to wide on the fronts, hence the spacers on the rear idea.. ... - .- -.
