I know all the buttons won't work but could this be programmed to work for a FF? I need a spare and like the look of this.

Well if it was that easy all the scumbags out there would be buying up the second hand keys from ebay and programming them then stealing our vehicles. You need to buy spare keys from the dealer, but need to show proof of ownership by taking the V5 a driving license and a utility bill along when ordering |

it is a complete different system, wont work and will never work, your car is the bmw system and that remote is the new ford keyless system, you can only get the modded 2006 flip style key. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Eh? How can they if your saying they only work for your car once programmed by a dealer and the dealer asks for loads of I'd and proof of ownership to PROGRAM the key so it would work with your car (quite rightly too) 2003 Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black |

Cheers Dave didn't realise it was a keyless system one (does that mean that key wouldn't even have a blade !) so can I go to LR and ask for a new 2006> flip style key for my 2003 ? Or are they not likely to do that? 2003 Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black |

Also ... it's not a key, it's a keyless smart 'key'. There is no blade (well there is, but only for emergency purposes to manually open the door - and it's loose inside the fob). Land Rover Addict

Unfortunately LR will give you the same as you have now. You can get an aftermarket 2006 style copy that will work. Have a search for "flip key" and you will find a monster thread all about it from recently. Getting keys to fit and turn is by all accounts easy. BUT you need the little chip inside to in immobilise the alarm. It's this chip that LR charge you a fortune for as they are coded to your car and come from Germany. You can change to the BMW dimond key quite easily but that still looks . Best option to date is a 2006 flip key copy. if you have the early style key then there are a few option, but no good going to the dealers as the will not order you any other key then the one that came with the car, NOTE.. don't bother buying a secondhand key unless you want to rip it apart to see how it works, been there done it..you can not reprogram a used key, they are programmed only once, you can sync it to your car to open the doors but that's it...again that will be only for the early keys.

Possibly but not 100%. What exactly do you want from a new key? Would you be happy with no remote central locking but a key that looks good to show off down the pub? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
